About Under the Flight Path

Under the Flight Path is the Inner West's local media brand — the name comes from the flight paths that criss-cross the neighbourhood on their way to and from Sydney Airport, a shared, slightly absurd backdrop to daily life here.

It started as a weekly newsletter and has grown into two products, both built for and by locals:

• Under the Flight Path — The Weekly, a Friday roundup of what's on in the Inner West, plus an archive and occasional web-only guides.
• The Inner West Black Book, a neighbour-recommended directory of local tradies and businesses.

Both are written and run independently, with a small network of locals feeding in tips, recommendations, and the odd correction.
